THE SOUND OF ART
Art has always been a source of inspiration for me, whether it comes through musical notes, colours, paintings, sculptures, ceramics or the spaces that surround them.
I am fascinated by the way different artistic languages can communicate with and influence one another. When music and visual art share the same space, they can create connections that go beyond each medium on its own, inviting the audience to experience the artwork from a different perspective.
This is what I explore through cello performances in galleries, museums and exhibition spaces.
Bringing live cello into an exhibition creates an opportunity to experience both music and visual art from a new perspective, adding another sensory layer beyond the visual and inviting the audience to engage with the artwork in a more immersive way.

No two exhibitions are alike.
The musical programme can therefore be carefully curated to create a meaningful connection with each particular exhibition and its audience.
Sometimes the connection may be direct; other times, it may be created through colour, mood, movement, texture, history or emotion.
The aim is not to illustrate the artwork with music, but to create a dialogue between the two.
